Gone about as far as we can go, now the upward journey

Leaving Lime Cut Basin (London) behind as we head back north. Looking at everything in reverse. With spring in the air there are lots of ducklings etc, interesting to see some of the nests in the most unusual places. We had hoped to go to Holy Trinity Brompton Church but it was just too difficult to get there instead we went to a small Methodist Church near where we utewere moored, about 30 minute walk. We called back at Uxbridge meeting up with our Australian friends again then had the boat serviced as it has to be serviced every 250 hours. We did washing, emptied out our waste, filled up with water and diesel then on the way again.

As we write this it is raining so we will stay put for the day. A bit like Australia they are in need of rain so we won't complain. The greatest problem for us now is that water is short on the canals. We are waiting to go up the Buckby Locks (7 in total) but they are restricted to between 9 and 4 to try and conserve water. This looks as if it will become more of a problem for us as the summer approaches.

Will add a heap of photos for you to brouse through, hope you enjoy them.

A Tesco Store right on the canal, there are a number which makes it very convenient.

Rubbish wrapped around the prop.
